5 Things You Must Do as You Wait for ‘Prince Charming’

Crazy how everyone has a 5 or 10 years plan of their life. You know, by this time I should have done this and that. Maybe gotten a job, married, started a family, built a house, bought a vehicle bla bla bla. The truth of the matter is, the 5 or 10 years never go as fast as we would want them to go.

When it comes to relationships and waiting for 'THE ONE' the drill is the same. The question is, what if he doesn’t come tomorrow, or the next day? What should we do to keep our lives in line and to avoid unnecessary panic?

Here are a few thing you can try and do as you wait for your blessing.

1.    Have a clear but not fixed mindset of what you want.
So you have been told many times that if you don’t have something in mind, you will fall for anything. This is very true. However, it does not mean now you go around seeking perfection in those you meet. Take it easy and you will realize that, though you don’t always get the ‘perfect match’, but you find yourself happy. Don’t fall for anything but don’t be too rigid either.

2.    Enjoy your own company.
It’s the best company you’ll ever get whether you like it or not. Once you know how to treat yourself right, then you can have a clue on how to treat someone else. No one loves someone who is too insecure. Be confident. It helps you to remain sober and to make sound decisions.

      3.    Hang out with your girlfriends whenever you can.
Wait, I am not meaning you always look for a groupie experience. That’s why number 2 is before 3. Once you are confident, then be free to have fun with your friends. Go out on weekends.

The thing is, you may never have as much time to be with them once you start focusing on your relationship. Enjoy it while it still lasts.

4.    Start living your dream career.
It’s the best you can give yourself while you are still single. Take care not to be a workaholic but enjoy doing things that you love. It will keep you busy and productive. Everyone wants someone who has something productive occupying their time instead of idling around, wishing someone would come and help them.

5.    Take care of family.

Take care of your parents and siblings now before you get occupied with building your own family. It helps you learn how to focus on a second party’s needs. It also helps you feel part of other people’s lives. You never go wrong when taking care of family.

These are just a few things you can do. It’s never that bad anyway during the wait. Your attitude and what you are occupying your mind with is what makes the difference.
